Member Leaders of SEIU/District 1199 are committed to building a workers’
organization that unites 100,000 hospital and health systems workers, long term care
workers, public employees and social service workers who are dedicated to the job of
raising the standard of living of our members, building meaningful community within
and outside of our workplaces, creating the most effective progressive political
organization in our respective states and inspiring at least 10% of our members to take on
positions of leadership within our Union.
We want to be a source of hope and community in a complex and unjust world.
