SUMMARY: The senator plans to stop by WeHo's popular Abbey bar after the historic Aug. 9 presidential forum sponsored by Logo and the Human Rights Campaign.
U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton is launching a national effort to encourage her LGBT supporters to organize viewing parties nationwide Aug. 9 for the presidential forum sponsored by gay cable TV channel Logo and the Human Rights Campaign.
The Advocate will be live-blogging the entire Los Angeles event, and several candidates plan meet-and-greets at WeHo watering holes in association with the landmark "gay debate," the first ever conducted by major presidential candidates under LGBT auspices.
Clinton's campaign Web site states: "We are encouraging Hillary's LGBT supporters from across the country, and their families and friends to host an 'LGBT Americans for Hillary Forum Watch Party.' This is a great way for you to get involved and to help us grow our LGBT Americans for Hillary network."
