SEIU District 1199 New Connections Network

Does anyone have a comment about the proposed furlough days that has been in the papers?

While I do not have a great deal of understanding as to how OCSEA's issues will impact us, in general I would favor a similar concession if it meant we would not see further cuts in wages and loss of personnel. 

Members here at Ohio Department of Health are blowing up the state email system about it!  I want to figure out a way to get them connected on here so they can use this blog.  Not a good idea to use the state email system for union concerns.  Please help

What I am hearing is people are upset, no information is making it worse.  Many here dont see 1199 as having any options but to follow OSEA's lead.  No one is telling us any different.  OSEA contract was voted and passed yesterday.  What options do 1199 members have at this point?
